Since I read an article about the aces in the WWII, I became passionate for those warbirds. I was twelve years old! The was my favorite!

  1. Those Tamiya Corsairs are nice kits, aren't they...? 🙂

  2. Looking good! Who doesn't love the Hog!

  3. Nice looking bird. I could build Corsair's everyday, they are so cool.

  4. The Corsair is my favorite plane too. In fact the very same plane you posted up in the museum was owned by a local man here in Central Florida many years ago. I watched that actual plane get restored from the ground up... twice, but that's another story.

I think this is how I started my fascination with the F4U...

Here it is. During the first restoration.

This skinny little kid standing next to it is me...

Here it is after the "First" restoration was completed.

You will notice that the canopy is different as are the main wheels. Those parts were added during the second restoration was done, which started in 1983.

I really like your model. Those Tamiya kits are a dream to build.

    Well done .

  5. Another Nice one!
