Mig-29, Farnborough, 1988. Hasegawa 1/72
As usual, I like to build planes with a story. This model represents the first Mig presented in an AirShow: Farnborough in 1988. It was the first time the Ocident saw the Fulcrum, so it was a big event π I leave on photo from it, too.
The kit is an old Hasegawa from 1987, which I bought used online for 3 pounds π
I made some modifications, riveting, panel lines, a new seat and added some photoetched parts.
Some decals were from the box (too fragile. Beware, they rip a lot!) and others printed at home.
Apart from that, the kit was quite straight forward to build, with almost no putty need.
I present photos from the building process and some at the end, with and without the photoetched extras.
As usual, I'll be pleased to hear your honest opinion and critics on what's good and what's need to be improved, please.
Hope you like is as much as I enjoyed building it.

Thks so much! I grabbed some photos from the airshow and painted it as it was (or, at least, tried to).
Great job Manuel. Realy like the camo and the details like the FOD covers in the intakes and on top. I remember it caused a lot of exitement back in '88 for the MiG29 to be on this airshow.
