Spring is here, Mac is back, and the pad has gone away…

March 18, 2019 · in Automotive · · 5 · 1.1K

Well here is progress on my Silhouette, this time pictures taken with my trusty digital camera and processed with "pictures" on my new MacBook Air. The iPad...well I should have liked it, but I hated it! Well hate is strong, I just didn't mesh with it. The Air however was just a bit more and is amazing! Anyway, in hindsight white plastic on white background made for not the best pictures, ah well. The molds on this kit have held up well, but still there is a bit of slop and flash. I chose to model the hood closed, we'll non existent like it is on my beloved Hot Whees car so some gap filling CA and some surfacer and it is flush. I did leave the trunk as a trunk, I only want to do so much sanding and filing, this is supposed to be fun! You can see where the engine will sit. Not too much left to go, next time it should be primed and ready for paint...Then on to the Tamiya F-14A I just ordered!

  1. You're off to a good start Rob. I haven't built a car in perhaps 15 years. It might be time.

  2. I do need to use a different background for the white body!

  3. 🙂 … Greetings … 🙂 :
Nice and yet not much seen model, I am looking forward to this one Rob.

  4. Thanks most of the work thus far has been on the body, the rest will be mostly hidden in the enclosed body shell so I am not putting too much into it!
