   Here's a few photos I took 8 years ago when the He-162 at Planes of Fame was outside and the engine was open.

     Really surprised to learn that a 162 exists in a private collection. What's the status today?

       It's still there, refinished and restored, closed up, kept inside a hangar. Ed Maloney first collected it in the 50s when no one wanted it. It had been displayed at Freeman Field at the 1946 enemy planes display, was one that actually served with JG 1.
