Large-tailed Dora
Hello, guys! The "Dora", or Fw-190 D-9, has been one of my favorite aircrafts. This particular machine ("brown 4") is a bit unusual, but famous, in that it was one of few Doras that were attached with the vertical stabilizer designed for Ta152. Camouflage was based on the color profile by Grandall ("The Focke-Wulf Fw190 Dora Volume 2" published by Eagle Editions): ventral and lateral surfaces of the fuselage of this a/c were painted not with the usual light blue RLM76, but with the controversial color, non-standard "light green" like "sky." I'm not completely sure with the authenticity of this color, but I followed Grandall, because it contributes, I think, to make her more attractive together with the large tail. Unfortunately, the finish coat seems too glossy, which I noticed when taking photos. Thank you for watching anyway, and I welcome your feedbacks.
