2019 NSW Model Show

June 22, 2019 · in Show Reports · 13 · 4.7K

The 19th 2019 NSW Model Show (hosted and run by Illawarra Plastic Modellers Association) was held over the weekend of 18th and 19th May 2019. The show is one of the largest in NSW with 380 entries received this year, a new record. My interest in mainly aircraft and as such, here are a selection of models that caught my eye this year. I will post some other model photos later as well.
Happy Modelling !

  1. That F-4 in 1/32nd scale is out standing (Winner)and the last photo of the Beaufighter with the wet wing literally it has water on it ... I feel for the person making that kit.

  5. Some fine photographs here, and the same can be said for all the models presented. Funny to see whole sections devoted to one particular plane (P-47, Hawker Sea Fury, Mustangs) are those SIG or just a result of recent releases by Airfix ๐Ÿ˜‰ ? I do like that flying Blenheim very very much

    • Hi Pedro The Sea Furies were part of a individual trophy "Airfix Cup" where a recent release Airfix aircraft is chosen as subject - last year was 1/48 P51, previous 1/48 Hurricane and inaugural subject was 1/72 Beaufighter. The P-47's you see are mostly mine...

  6. Good to see what's happening on the other side of the country. Particularly like the P-47s

  7. That's some serious work on display Darren, thanks for sharing.

  11. Thanks - as an aircraft enthusiast, I can't fault your choice of selection! Some great looking models on the tables.
