My " First " Tiger I

Hey folks... Here I have for you my very first Tiger I (early) I ever built.. Tamiya 1/35, a classic Tamiya kit that I feel still holds up to today's offerings without interior.. This was a really fun build.. I learned quite a bit on weathering by experimenting on this build.. The kit itself is great as usual with just about all Tamiya kits.. No fit issues, Nothing confusing about it whatsoever so I won't bore you with the step by step rundown on a shake n bake kit.. However I can elaborate some on the small mod I made on the side fenders.. I just simply used a razor saw in the joints to separate each skirt panel and bent them in odd directions to show damage and better separation.. One on the left side I removed completely as if it was knocked off, I also used a micro drill and made the four holes where that fender skirt would've been attached..

Painted with Vallejo model air colors, chipping is actually real chipping done with the back of a hobby knife and some dental picks, weathering is artist oils, oil pastels, Tamiya weathering master sets A,B & C.. this kit was built straight OOB and was a real blast..
