BF 109 afrika ... sand and sun

July 3, 2019 · in Aviation · 14 · 2.1K

Hi, this was my frist attemp of airplane in 1/32 scale, it is kit from Revell and I want to try some afrika camo. Really I dont know if it is G2,4,6 version ... also marking it is not right and I know it ... but it was fun to build it and I like this falcon on nose ๐Ÿ™‚ There is some interior accessories from another company, my opinion is it is not neccesary to use it in future anymore, mabye in 1/32 is it not so bad but in smaller scale you barely can see it . I want also thank to my frined who teach me how to make some better photos of model and also Iam working in new lightbox to take another better pictores. Also I would like to add a small pad under this model, something like desert sand and few woods.

So I hope you will like this beaten warbird from sand and sun ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Very nice paint work and weathering.

FWIW, the kit is a 109G-4 (the bumps on the wing over the gear well is the giveaway).

    • G4 it is ๐Ÿ™‚ I did some modyfication but during war they always work with technics they have and not with they want to have.

  5. Ditto, on the positive comments. I like what you did to the spinner in showing the seam or cap with screws or rivet heads. Along with some of the staining or hydraulic fluid stains. That goes along way in making the model more convincing. Two thumbs up on the G-4.

    • Thanks a lot ... I'am trying to use weathering technics in the way to model looks like it was used for a while in their conditions, I dont like clean builds when model looks like a toy ๐Ÿ˜‰

A gorgeous build Radek, fine job on the paint as well as the weathering.
Very keen work , add too this that H.J.M has always been a favorite subject to me.

  7. This detail in the wheel bay... just amazing!

  8. Well, Radek, it sure doesnโ€™t look like a toy. The atmospheric photos really showcase a very technically excellent and artistically beautiful Gustav.
