ICM Model T US Ambulance

July 29, 2019 · in Armor · · 13 · 1.9K

A departure of sorts, as I tend to stick to aviation, although the theme is also my main interest. I had a good time with this one - no problems at all with the kit itself (the painting instructions were a bit vague at times), but it went together very nicely. Finished in MRP paints, weathered with oils and some AK enamel washes. The photos don't do it much justice (I really do need a macro lens for my Canon), but I finished the roof with a piece of Aviattic CDL fabric effect decal paper, and I was really pleased with the results. I have the medic and wounded figures to add to it, but my figure painting really isn't up to much.

  1. Really nice job on this, my friend...I like it a lot. 🙂

  2. Unusual subject. The detail and finish looks excellent. I like the wooden locker with the brass padlock.

  3. This is a great Kit, I like ICM in general but never purchased this kit because it's not my era. Otherwise very well done, Robert, the wood looks very realistic on the T-Ford! Kudo's.

  4. i like it bob...the wheels the tailgate scuffing and it may seem like a trivial thing but the decals turn me on

  5. I love the models from WW1 vehicles. Your ambulance looks awesome!

  6. This is really nice all the way around on all points. Very nice work!

  7. Very nice, the comments above said it all.
    Congratulations!

  8. Excellent! Nice weathering, and that roof looks great!

  9. Great looking version of an unusual subject, Robert!

  10. Thanks to one and all for the generous comments - very much appreciated, I can assure you.

  11. Really nicely done Model T - David Thomas did one of these a while back and they look fantastic weathered up. This is a great piece of modeling, especially for a fly-guy.

I’d vote for this in any show.
