Eduard 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-2
This aircraft was piloted by Uffz. Peter Bremer of 2./JG54, Autumn 1941. The standard 74/75 upper camouflage was modified by an application of 70/02/79 over the original paint to improve its camouflage for Autumn. I did the same painting sequence to replicate on the model what was done to the original plane. The overspray on some of the national markings is intentional as photos of the aircraft show this to be so. This is a Royal Class version so it’s pretty much OOB. I only added knobs to the sliding panels and a spring and wire to the canopy hood, brake lines to the landing gear legs and stretched sprue aerial wiring.

This is a great -109, especially with this well-done, unusual paint scheme. Awesome!

Good-lookin’ build right there, Dale…nice job on that stretched sprue as well (that ain’t always easy).

Congratulations. Imho one of the best 109 camo schemes on the whole of the web. That’s is some astounding airbrush work! Just finished my first ever airbrush German BF 109 mottled style’ attempt. Took some effort, the hardest part being cleaning the brush and maintenance, wish there was a quicker way to do that bit! Will post up along with a hello to everyone. Your scheme is different, that’s why I like it.

@stuartbillange Thanks very much for you nice comments. This plane is featured in the Jagdwaffe book vol. 3 section 2 with photos and a color profile. Once i saw it I had to do it as like you different types of paint schemes motivate me.
