Kinetic 1/48 F-16XL
I’ve always liked the look of the F-16XL and so have always wanted to build one. This was an OK kit to build, there were some issues with the ordinance and I now have a huge amount of spare parts for a 1/48 F-16 as there are parts for other versions included. I rushed finishing it so there are a few bits I should have took more time with but there you are.

Very nice camouflage on this. I just got the Skunkmodel (another banner under Kinetic IIRC) single seater as I like the colorful trim on it (There’s too little of that these days!) but the three tone grey on this is very smart looking! I do wish this had gone into service. I am a huge fan of the SAAB Draken and if there was a rival to its good looks, the F-16XL was it! I just may have to get the two seater as well!

Looks good! Sure was an unusual looking aircraft. The Camo scheme sits very nicely on her.

Great job , looks awesome! Always liked the XL too’ did the old Monogram 1/72 awhile back. I agree with Josh’s’ comparison to the Draken.

Looks great, Matt. I got this kit when it came out, so I am glad someone forged ahead to see how it builds. This is some great looking camo.

Really cool Matt! I hope that someone out there builds a “what if” XL in Israeli marking and camo and puts an electronics hump on the spine.
