Mirage F1 AZ 1/32 Scale, Scratch Build. Part 8
Another update for all you die hard modelers out there,
Man, this is really turning into a labour of love, and hate.
I managed to finish the intakes, this was not as bad as I thought it would be, and I managed to get the fit ok, did a little filling and sanding, and it came out ok.
Next was the wings, this was not easy, the wings of the F1 seem to fit on the shoulder of the fuselage, and to get the correct droop of the wing was a challenge in its self, definitely not for the feint at heart, as I found out, but after a lot of swearing, moaning and tears, I managed to get the fit ok, and glued into position. Primed everything, and now busy with the smoothing out of the join, and priming.
Pheeew, I think I need to build out of the box again, just to steady myself.
Hope you like it so far,
Marc

If you are scratch-building anything, you got to really have the desire and the ability. It looks like you have both. Great job! Looking forward to the finished plane.

I’m told there must be a world darts championship somewhere in the world. You’d probably git regular 180s with this really sharp model. Everyone else has used all the superlatives but you not how I feel. Great!!! Paul.
Marc Barris said on August 28, 2019
Hey Paul, been a while, thanks as always for the comment.
