Mirage F1 AZ 1/32 Scale, Scratch Build. Part 12

October 15, 2019 · in Aviation · · 14 · 2K

Here we go again,
I was sitting at my work bench un-motivated and lacking any inspiration what so ever, started paging through some reference material, and decided to do some camouflage on the upper surface of the model, well, it didn't stop there, and when I looked again it was 3 in the morning and I had painted the whole aircraft.
I know I still have a few things to scribe and rivet, as well as a few intakes and small scoops to add, but I just could not resist the urge... I also received the wheels freshly cast in resin from my old pal Tappies, and I am busy with the undercarriage at the moment, getting them ready to install this week end, with the canopy.
I still need to do some work on the cockpit, such as, fixing some paint work on the bulk head as well as the interior, which in my haste to paint got a little over spray.
I hope you all will agree with my moment of madness, I think it looks ok, I will do some weathering as soon as I have the model close to completion.
Its been 9 months into the build, so call it a release from built up tension if you must

Cheers

Marc
