Revell's 1/48 F-15E Strike Eagle
One of Revell's better kits. Went together without any major fit issues. There were some seams to sand, and a few very small areas that needed just a touch of putty. The decals were printed in 2000, and looked iffy at best, but I figured I would give them a shot anyway. I should of went with aftermarket ones. I had to dig in the spares bin for a few that ripped, and landed up painting on the fuel refilling port lines. That one ripped into about a dozen pieces.
Most paints used were Model Master enamels, a few Tamiya acrylics. Model Master Metalizer paints used for the exhaust nozzles. Tamiya weathering powders, and pastels were used. Also used oil paints for leaks. Thanks for looking!

Awesome build! I've sometimes saved decals by using Testors decal bonder 9200, it comes in a 3oz rattle can.

Nice and good work on this model Christina, what really caught my attention was the speed brake. It is not too often that this is seen on a F-15 model, true it could visually break the graceful lines … but it also adds a interesting image, more so when one considers the size. Good modeling.
Thank you! I usually like to leave everything "open" so the detail can be seen. Unless of course I hand them from the ceiling for in flight! I like to take the time to add the detail, so why hide it. Especially if the kit actually offers the option. Most times they don't. I really like having different options, different flap positions, speed brakes, etc. The kit however didn't give the option for gear up. You could do it with some careful cutting though.
