The last of radial-engined 190s
Hello guys!
The Fw190 has long been one of my favorites. It had a vast range of variations, just like its counterpart with a liquid-cooled engine, Bf109. The model I built this time is of A-9, the last of A series. Although it is virtually impossible to discriminate A-9s from A-8s by outer appearances, the W.Nr.750114I shows it was one from a small batch of A-9s produced by the factory Mimetall. An interesting feature of this particular aircraft is that it was attached with counterweights on the root of propeller blades.
I built this Eduard kit OOB, including the decals of 13./JG54; the counterweights of propellers were also included in PE parts! The colors of upper surfaces, grey 74 and green 82, are purely based on my speculation to evoke the “atmosphere” of a late-war radial engined 190. I hope you like it.

Very nice Wurger of the seldom seen last of the Anton series. It also happens to be the last of the “old” Eduard moulds for the Focke-Wulf, and I can honestly say you did a great job getting it all closed up without flaws.

Shun, look them up at the Fw190 channel here ta iModeler, you will find several builds of the newer moulds, mainly A-4s and A-5, but also one A-8 from Tom if memory serves me correctly
