Lockheed F-104J Starfighter
HASEGAWA 1/48, out of box build including kit decals. Filled most of the rivet holes on wings and tail, since these were puttied over on the teal one. Model painted in Alclad, mostly aluminium and dark aluminium.
Japan JASDF operated the F-104J from 1962 to 1986. The model shows an F-104J operated by the 203rd TFS at Chitose AB, Hokkaido.

That is some beautiful NMF work – love the shading on it. Was that pre- or post-shading? I’ve got the 1/72 version of this with same Japanese markings, that I was considering added to our contest theme build in April (Made in Japan) – this has inspired me to unbox it and get started!
Joseph Fenech said on December 20, 2019
Thank you. It’s a mix of both but mostly preshading. Good luck with your project!

Absolutely beautiful. Nice job of filling the rivets on the wings, overlooked on many builds of the Hasegawa kit. Love all the stencilling, really adds to the busyness of the overall look.

Thanks. First couple of stafighters I did not fill those rivets, they make a lot of difference filled up.

I am not really fond of jet models but this one is purely marvelous.
The work done on metallic shades and tons is fantastic. Readable and subtle; perfect!!
Bravo!!
