  1. David - that's a fantastic effort in this scale. As well as the figure painting, the engine-turning effect on the aluminium panels and the turnbuckles really make the model stand out. I'm in the process of finishing several 1/48 scale German scouts right now and gave up trying to use those lovely Gaspatch turnbuckles - unable to secure the rigging thread in the tiny loops which're too delicate (for me) to enlarge sufficiently without terminal results. Really well done !

    • The Uschi elastic thread will go through the resin turnbuckles more easily than the metal ones!
If you need to enlarge the holes try a dental root canal file...if you can get one!

  2. Amazing quality as always David.

It reminds me of the work from TOMs Modelling in Motion

I think these videos are just amazing. I struggle to build a halfway decent model, and Tom does not only built to mint quality but also takes the time to make these great animations.

  3. That is one nice plane! - I really like the way you have hit the laminated propeller spot on!

  4. Seriously good build. All that detail takes it to another level.

  5. Another standout beauty! Love that metal work. It's beautifully weathered - looks so realistic.

  6. This Eindecker is a gem, great details could pass for a 1/32 model. The figure is equally impressive

  7. Museum quality.
    Beautiful model and figure.

  8. Just for info, the cowling is sprayed with Alcad ll dark aluminium, brush painted with printing ink and then brought together with a very thin coat of semi-matt aluminium.

  9. All of the above! Nicely done.

  10. This is stunning. There's not one single detail of this project that isn't perfect. I love this. The way you dirtied the fabric is marvelous.
