F-16 fighter

February 11, 2020 · in Aviation · · 2 · 1.6K

I took no "in progress" photos, but you all know how to build models!
My first photo show's the model with the decal instruction sheet which was easy to follow.
All I had to do was use my X-2 Gloss White paint, then apply the decals after the paint dried a day or so.

It appears that I dressed up the cockpit as one photo shows that I made and installed some Waldron "PE" buckles along with some of my white nylon ribbon.

Great looking model compared to the dark grey fighter. The blue decals sure make this model very attractive when displayed at a club meeting and/or at a model show.

I built another , then took a photo of both of them together. RJW!

  1. What a beautiful plane Rodney ! @f2g1d

I especially like the "claws' near the landing gear on the underside of the wings. Someday I hope to build one of these in 1/48 scale, wearing either the "Thunderbirds" paint scheme, or in Red, White, and Blue as the original "YF-16" prototype was painted. I remember building the Monogram kit of this very plane as a kid...

It's a fantastic looking machine my friend. Up to your usual standard of excellence !
