Samurai Warrior (1300)
I bought this 90mm (1/18 scale) metal figure from ANDREA some 10+ years ago. I didn’t get around to building it as my kids took more and more of my spare time.
So, after getting back into the hobby I dusted the cobwebs of the box and gave it a go. The kit is rater complex 42 parts and many of them need to be pinned.
I probably used the wrong primer as it didn’t stick too well and I had to go back and repaint several portions of the model after the final assembly.
Painted in acrylics and oils.
Thanks for watching.

Well obviously, doing incredible figures is also “like riding a bicycle.” You certainly didn’t lose any skills/knowledge/talent during your “time away.”
This figure is just amazing!

I think good figure painting is one of the hardest skills to master in the hobby. A lot of modelers make the eyes look like Gumby or Pokey. Those bulged eyes that come from getting hit in the head by a base ball bat. Figure painting is about as close as you can get to the fine arts …Vermeer, Rembrandt and Leonardo…
Two thumbs up Geir
