Spitfire Mk Vb KP 1/72
Here is a little Spitfire, a MkVb, the kit is from Kovozavody Prostejov. This was the plane of Squadron Leader James Rankin, 92. Squadron at Biggin Hill in 1941.
The cockpit, which is fairly well detailed, does not include photoetching. The canopy beeing closed, this point does not bother me. I spend more time making the harnesses with aluminum tape.
The elevators have been cut, to be lowered as the plane is on the ground with no pilot on board.
This is a model that I recommend, the quality of the kit being very good and requiring only a few small modifications.

It's a solid 'Here, here' from me. I was at RAF Wildenrath with 92, their mounts were a little bigger and definitely noisier! (Phantoms!)

Hi Robert, i used Vallejo Dark Green 71.324, on black base and after layers of Dark Earth and some mid-grey were applied...

Yes the landing gear is tricky, thats the worst part of the kit, I probalbly could have done it better...
