1/72 REVELL Canadair CL-415

Really not much to say about this kit. Not a bad kit, but decals are frustrating. Would have never bought it if I didn’t get this idea for this mini diorama. Water and fire effects made out of silicone, isolation foam and cotton.

  4. This is awesome! Nice work!

  5. Good job and the water well enough.

You have been ahead of me for a week, I have finished the same plane but the Spanish version. I am working on a similar idea, but I have had a problem with the trees and the scale since I don’t usually work at 1:72 The idea comes from some photos I took a few years ago in Santiago de Compostela.

    • Thank you all for comments. Carmelo sorry for colliding with your idea, I still hope we’ll see your project soon. Few months ago I watched Croatian Canadairs in action and got an idea how to make this water drop. I saw picture of water bomb in my head and literally said to myself “s**t, now I have to spend money on a model I never wanted to have on my shelf”. I must admit I did not pay too much attention to the plane itself and it has many flaws, I put most of my time and effort in making diorama/effects. It took several attempts before I got satisfactory result.

  6. Bold concept and I give you great credit for pulling it off. Reminds me of one of my wife’s favorite movies, “ Always” beautiful job!

  7. What a nice work! Very original and impressive!

  8. Excellent project! The water bomb looks very realistic! Well done.
