Falklands Opponents...

Hello friends,

These kits have been assembled by me for some time ago, but only now I had time to photograph them. On the occasion of the anniversary of the conflict in the Falklands or Malvinas, I decided to form this duo that participated intensively in the conflict. In this case, a Harrier GR1 and a Dassault Super Etendard. Both are from the Academy, and I was faithful to the specific color scheme and markings of the conflict. Hope you like it.

  1. A nice pair, indeed, beautiful models!
Set one next the other in the same pic, Harrier appears quite bulky compared to the slim Super Etendard...

  2. Great work Eduardo! A nice pair! Can you imagine them fight each other...
    All the best!

  3. Great work on both builds!

  4. The renowned exocet... Very nice build!

  5. Hello Eduardo,

Firstly, beautiful scale models. My compliments.

Secondly: These two are part of a mix of airplanes from both sides, that were involved in "modern air warfare". Rarely seen these days. The Etendard and the Harrier proved, that their designers had it right from the start. In different roles, but still, both could hold their grounds. Importantly to mention, the pilots and ground support from both sides, made sure they were reliable assets during the whole conflict. The Etendard is still soldiering on, the Harrier is gone. Now, we are into fifth generation combat aircraft. The last one before remote control fighters and bombers.

    I surely miss those days.

    Regards,

    Dirk.

  6. Nice work! All that participated in this far flung conflict were brave. The Argentinians did sink and damage several British surface ships and could have made it worse of their missiles functioned properly.
Britain learned that you should not make your ships out of aluminium !
    For more than one reason.
The etendard is a beauty !

  7. Nicely done Eduardo, a fine pair, they look good.
