1/48 Eduard MIG-21PFMPolish Air Force

April 14, 2020 · in Aviation · · 10 · 3.8K

This build is the MIG-21PFM. I used the kit decals for the Polish Air Force MIG from 1996. It was a fun kit to build and it is built right out of the box. The ProfiPack comes with the photo etch accessory for the cockpit and exhaust can. I painted it with Model Master aluminum buffing metalizer paint. The interior green was Vallejo which matched the photo etch colors exactly. I also made the sensor heads on the missiles. 1. Excellent,David! That’s one of my favorite kits. I’ve built the MF and the bis, enjoyed both.

  2. Very nice! Thanks for the tips and tricks.

That Metalizer application looks great on this a/c. Do you seal it before and/or after decals?

Well done, and two thumbs up!

  3. Great work, David! The Eduard kit seems lovely too. Got myself the lesser Academy one. It looks like a poor cousin of the Eduard.
    All the best!

  4. Excellent build!
My kingdom for an Eduard Mig-21! they are excellent kits...
However, I got my Mig 21 stash built up years ago- all three Academy!
