London taxi (post apocalypse)

April 12, 2020 · in Sci-fi · 6 · 2.6K

Hello all.

This is my first attempt at a car model, a 1/24 scale London taxi cab with a distinctly post apocalypse look to it. The kit is by Aoshima and the figure by Master box Ltd. All the armour panels and mesh windows as well as the base are scratch built.

Having never built a car model before I wanted to give it a go but wanted to do something a little different. I saw the Aoshima kit on eBay the day after rewatching Mad Max and that was the inspiration for this little diorama.

I don’t specify exactly what the apocalypse is in this scene but, be it hoards of zombies; alien invasion or even killer robots from the future, the trusty London black cab will get you to your destination in comfort and (relative) safety.

Hope you enjoy it,
