1:32 WingNutWings Albatros D.Va
This Albatros is my first try with WWI plane and riggings. When attaching the lower wings, I needed to fix them at an angle to be attached to the upper wing. I messed up the propeller’s painting, so it doesn’t look like laminated wood.

It looks good, and a little larger photos would help to better appreciate the work.
Nice job

Thanks. I should have used higher resolution photos.

A really nice “first WWI” model and you can definitely save that prop once you get a bit more experience with that (painting a wood prop to look right is one of the hardest parts of a WWI model). Everything else is “up there.”

This is nicely done on yours.

Thanks for the comments. I have a FE 2b in my stash. I will give the propeller another try soon. As for the riggings, I use the method described here: http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/2001/11/stuff_eng_tech_rigging.htm
I used fishing line, some brass tubes and copper wire from electric wires.

Looks great, Thomas. For a first WWI it is a winner! As for the prop, like Tom @tcinla said, you can revisit it as long as you feel like it, so no worries.
Congratulations on your job!

I think I will build another WWI plane. I have a FE b2 and a Camel in my stash.

Thanks very much. Sadly, there is rumors that Wingnutwing may be closing down. The kid is from them which has a lot of details.
