Schwimmwagan 1/48th
Seeing all the fun vehicles in 1/35th we are very fortunate that a company like Tamiya decided to start doing the same in 1/48 for those of us that prefer that scale. This is Tamiya's Schwimmwagan, and it is a fun easy build that with a careful paint job really looks pretty nice. I added the strap for holding the prop drive in stowed position, other than that it right out of the box.

Nice job, Walt! The Tamiya, 1/48 Jeep (included with the "U.S. Army Infantry at Rest" set) is a nice little build too. I'll have to find a dio to do with the S'wagan.
I have a couple of the jeeps, they are excellent! I also have the Hasagawa "Follow Me" jeeps. I too like you started young with the models and was forever hooked when I saw the first Shep Paine booklet in the B-17.
