StuG IV, Tamiya, 1/35
I have finished it about a month ago. My very first try in 1/35 scale. One of that old and simple Tamiya kits, buit out of the box with just a few minor and modest improvements. No PE, no metal or resin aftermarket parts – even the antennaes were stretched from the kit sprues.
Well, the scale is something special for the guy who build primarily 1/72 planes. It feels huge and demands lots of additional attention during paintjob and weathering, because of large even surfaces that look very dull without some extra efforts.
I didn’t stick to any real prototype during this build, so I allowed myself to use the anecdotic “404” number to highlight it.

Those “old” Tamiya kits still build up mighty fine! Well done!

Betcha had fun bending up those skirts, eh? Seen lots of footage with Stugs and PzIV’s looking just like that. Cool model.
