1/32 Scale MB 326 Scratch Build Part 7

June 2, 2020 · in Aviation · · 22 · 1.4K

Well its that time again, a little progress for all you interested parties that are following the build, As you will see most of the air frame is built and its time for a little paint work, this is always the fun part for me, it makes the model come to life.

This was an absolute fun build, not as difficult at the F1, but enjoyable , the molds I made worked perfectly and everything just fitted together perfectly.

I am busy having the decals made up and they should be ready in about two weeks time.

If you have any questions, or just want to have a chat, send me a message.

Keep safe during these trying times,

All the best

Marc

  1. Another masterclass build. This is one of the best colour schemes worn by the Silver Falcons! This Impala deserves to be in a museum!

  2. This is an amazing progress, Marc, even more so it is scratchbuilt!
I kept looking at that landing gear, a work of art by itself.
    All the best!

  3. Wow - not only scratch building, but just choose a simple, curvaceous paint scheme to boot! Nothing like a challenge, eh? Looking great!

  4. Superb progress Marc.
This challenge will definitely give you satisfaction.

  5. Looking good Marc !

  6. It is just amazing to watch your stuff come together Marc!

  7. Hi Marc - Looking great ! Just what we've all come to expect. Love the detailed engineering of the u/c oleos. Also in great admiration over how your striped colourways have such crisp definition. Even when I burnish the edges of masking tape divisions, inevitably there's some annoying bleed just where it's difficult to correct without spoiling the base coat. Yours look diamond sharp !

    • Hey Paul yes indeed, there always is a little bleading when you mask over an intake or raised surface detail, what I do is I cut the Tamiya Tape into thin strips, and that seems to take care of ant bleeding, thanks for the kind comment Mate.

  8. Hello Marc !
This is another fabulous update. How did you make the wheels ? Did you have an extra set laying around or did you make them using a drill or a lathe ?

The landing gear and your paint work is also amazing. I am very impressed with the crisp lines and how everything is perfect. You my friend are a master at work. Thanks for sharing this with us. You’re an inspiration to me and now completing the scratch building work for the landing gear bay on my 1/48 Monogram B-24J doesn’t seem so hard.

I hope this note finds you and your family doing healthy and well. Take care my friend.

    • Hey Louis, we are all well down south, trying to keep Covid free, I trust you and the Family are keeping well ,
I will post some pictures on how I made the wheels and hubs on the next update, its really quite easy.
Thanks a mil for the comment Buddy.

  9. Amazing seems like such an inadequate word to describe your models, Marc, but it's what we have. Also fantastic, incredible, fabulous, stupendous. I really like what you do.

  10. Fantastic build and great progress! Nice shots also Marc!

  11. Looks good. As my Father would say, Orange and Blue are complimentary colors (he was a professional color matcher for 40 years). Funny how stuff like that sticks in your head...
