1/700 scale Dragon USS Bon Homme Richard CV-31 “Korean War” – Review
Greetings all,
This is another unboxing review which is a quite unique subject a Korean War era aircraft carrier. Dragon models to date is the only manufacturer so far to release few Korean War era carriers which is ideal for collectors whom are interested in for ships of that era. Overall the kit gives a variety of air wing aircraft , mini photo etched , option for waterline and full hull its worth the buy.

Not for me but very cool choice. Love the almost modern-but-not-really features and a collection of prop Corsairs, jet Panthers and early helicopters.

Bon Homme Richard didn’t get modified past WW2 Essex standard till after the Korean War, when she was rebuilt and became a 34-Charlie (rebuilt island and angle deck). I’d like it if these guys would do a straight-deck 34-Charlie, the “classic” Korean-era CVA.

Sorry, don’t follow you, Tom. Are you saying this is not a true Korean era carrier boxing? Looks straight decked to me…?

Yes, it is straight decked-I have one.
