Tamiya 1/12 xv1600.

Here's the next chapter in my current motorcycle fixation.

It's 's XV1600 Custom which I have modified slightly to look more like a "semi-customised" version...

I removed all the kit's fake chrome and re-did all the metal with assorted Alclad lacquers.

The paint scheme is non standard and is based on one I saw for sale online.

The colours are Tamiya Gloss Black and a mixture based on Mica Red, both lacquers.

It's finished with multiple coats of Tamiya Pearl Clear to give it a metal flake appearance...

  6. Masterful build and if you didn't tell me it was a model, I would think it was the real thing! Excellent work with the chrome, it really makes a difference in the entire appearance of the bike.
