Fantastic, Allon! I like all the added details ... crunched Coke bottles and the the like. It reminds me of our tanks during Desert Storm and also training exercises; any time we had to "live" on our tanks for more than a few hours!

It does indeed look very realistic... I can remember living in and on our tank for over 45 days straight in the desert many, many years ago... and we were also rationed water during this time. Not too much fun, but you "do what ya gotta do". You know the deal.

During Desert Storm we had pretty much all the water we needed, but that was because they planned on 5 gallons (approx. 18.9 liters) per soldiers per day. Despite the heat, I doubt ANY of us drank that much water. Of course, we had a lot of our water (as supplied by the Saudis) from the big 600 gal. water tanks (aka - water buffalo) but we also got a LOT of bottled water. What we DIDN'T have (usually) was water to bathe properly! We smelled like sweat - and other much less appealing bodily odors, grease, oil (both 30 w AND FRH - Fire Resistant Hydraulic), and baby wipes! Thank God for baby wipes!

I know exactly what you mean... but typically we didn't notice how bad we smelled at the time, yet you could tell instantly when someone from another tank crew was nearby. It was really noticeable when we started getting cleaned up in the shower after we returned from the field... then it was obvious who had taken a shower and who didn't... and how awful we smelled ! You literally become nose blind, thank God for that !

This is a very realistic build you have presented to us here... It looks like you somehow shrunk a full sized one down to a much smaller 1/35 scale. The crushed plastic Coke bottle really caught my eye... as did the clear blue plastic 5 gallon water bottle laying on it's side. The dust effects are spot on too. I spent a lot of time living in M-60's out in the desert... You nailed the look !

Incredible details! It's probably harder to detail a darker paint-schemed desert vehicle too! I feel like I'm back in the desert (for months -on-end because we didn't have FOBs to live in...we lived out of our BFVs and it smelled to high heaven inside)! It's always fun to look back on desert deployments-not forward! I like the crunched plastic bottle on the front of the Puma...Awesome job!
