Wingnut wings Dh2

July 18, 2020 · in Aviation · · 13 · 2.1K

Dh2 32nd scale
Only my second wnw kit ,entirely painted with tamiya acrylics
Spark plug leads are made from 0.15 brass wire wrapped around a 0.3 drill bit to create the spring and the cockpit wire bracing has a 0.8mm disk at the point the wires cross each other to stop chafing it's the little things that make all the difference especially on a model with such a lot on show
The rigging was done with ez line and bobs buckles 1mm x .5mm brass tubes

  1. Roger, Super nice, and very realistic looking. I like it a lot!

  2. Nice looking bird cage. Commendable as the DH2 is not the easiest kit in the world to build (even from WnW).

If you said that this was only your 2nd WW1 model ever then I'd be even more envious of the result and your skills.

  3. Wow. That is a beautiful build.

  4. Beautiful work.

  8. This is a magnificent build ! I have always liked the DH2... So much that I picked up a set of scale RC plans for an electric powered 1/6 scale flying version a few years ago... some day.

Thanks for showing this beauty to us.

  11. This is a brilliant build, Roger, I love the paint job you have achieved - but I completely marvel at the rigging. And the prop painting is a total work of art!
