Moved into a new Studio.
For the first time in a little over 10 years, I have a studio/workplace that I am happy with. Custom-designed by me with IKEA components, and Wallniture shelving from Amazon. The desktop is 58.25×28.75″ of tempered glass, and provides a LOT of workspace. The gray unit in the back right corner is the only holdover from my old setup.
The Components are:
Ikea:
Glassholm x1
Alex x2
Wallniture:
Boston Floating Shelves 46″ Wall Decor White x2
Lighting:
Phive CL-1 LED Architect Desk Lamp x1
Filing System:

Very nice set up but that desk is waaaaaay too neat. How do you manage to find anything?

I was looking at the Glassholm on the Ikea site just the other day. Very nice setup.

OK, James, with that awesome set-up the iModeler team is looking forward to maximum production of exceptional models. No pressure.
Really great job on your new bench. All good.

“A neat desk is the sign of a sick mind” – a sign I had over my desk in the days when I had an office I went to.

I see a lot of improvements for my own workspace now, James.
This is a nice building environment.

You have my admiration & envy in roughly equal proportions, however these emotions are tempered by my observation that there is not actually any model in the process of construction, although I note that there is a wing neatly laid out on your desktop. What I really would like to see is a photo taken about halfway through the build. In the meantime, it looks beautiful. Just knowing where everything is has to be a huge bonus!

Hi Tony,
If you look a little closer, you’ll see I’m part way through the Revell 1/32 Spitfire Mk. II (Iron Maiden:Aces High version) and there are 4 Nighthaunt Grimghast Reapers in the primer stage along the top of the Spitfire area. So, 2 projects going at once. I’m waiting on some Barracuda Studios correction parts to arrive so I can button up the fuselage.

Looks great! Nothing like getting one’s modeling mojo back by having a new and improved work area. Hope you have many successful builds here.

Very impressive set up. In my dreams I have a science lab like super organized work bench. So far it hasn’t happened, LOL.

Looks great and well organized!

Organisation is at the base of it all. Looking for tools and materials is not a waste of time It’s just a not so good use of time.
Well done. on to making models!
