OtVinta! 1/48 Polikarpov I-1 ( the first Soviet serial fighter)
Hello! After a short break), I want to present you the first model of my own design, the first Soviet fighter Polikarpov I-1. The model is produced under the Ot Vinta brand (the closest English analogue is Bring It), the material is resin. Developed in 3D, printed, that is, manual work on fine-tuning the master model is minimized. Therefore, the model is assembled extremely well, the sprues are small, like ordinary plastic models. I highly recommend it, especially since there are no analogues;)
Happy viewing!

The grandfather of the Rata.
Great looking model, love the colours. Any other colour scheme or marking alternatives? What dimemsions is it?
Maxim Bylkin said on August 3, 2020
Yes, you are right, I-1 can really be called the grandfather of I-16)). Many technical solutions were developed and later embodied in the I-16.
There were no other color schemes (unfortunately), only 13 aircraft were built.
And his dimensions are decent, in a span of a model over 20 cm, about the size of a Spitfire))

What materials were used? Is it an all metal plane or did they combine wood, canvas and metals?
Maxim Bylkin said on August 3, 2020
Wooden frame, plywood, metal cowl. Cloth – on ailerons and tail

Outstanding! That’s a good-looking plane and model! I know my kid, the biggest fan of 1/48 different stuff, will want one for sure.

The kid is 31. Builds better than me. Sorry but I do 1/32. Maybe upscale it? 🙂

That’s really interesting, Maxim. Great job. That’s the first fully 3D printed kit that I’ve ever seen.
