Hill 881 Viet Nam 1967

Fierce fighting for Hill 881 N. The Hill was one of several strategically imporant hills surrounding Khe Sahn in western Quang Tri Province in Vietnam's I Corps. The fighting between the Marines and North Vietnamese Army (NVA) regulars took place on April 30, 1967. The Marines were from Golf Co., 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division.

  3. Tom, marvelous details throughout, you have to really study individual parts of it. Obviously the troops are in contact, and there's a lot going on, all at once. Great posing and animating of the figures, to show this. Individual Vignettes that could stand on their own,as well as part of the whole.

    One of the best comments about the RVN I ever heard was by a Sgt. squad leader who had just rotated home. He remarked that he wouldn't be watching the sun come up over hills that scared him, anymore.

    Tom, my sincere admiration for your considerable skills. Don't sweat the airplanes, they'll come.
