  1. Nice job! That’s one of my favorite kits.

  2. Nice job, Kipdarks!
    Welcome aboard!

  3. Nicely done! Still the best Voodoo in 1/48. This was originally molded at a time when Monogram ruled the American model industry, and that domination actually led in part to the downfall of, and purchase by Monogram of Revell, which led to the merger. I always wished they had just stayed Monogram, but the parent company felt Revell was more recognizable, and eventually the company would drop Monogram all together. I always get a bit ruffled when I see Revell attached, but it is what it is.

    • Actually it was the reverse - purchase of Monogram by Revell, after the previous owner (an "MBA genius" who knew so little about models he decided that if he stopped producing the P-51B that sales would be made up by the P-51D since "a P-51 is a P-51") ran the company bankrupt. Further proof that MBAscum in whatever business should be found dangling from lamp posts. They know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

  4. Many thanks to all of you!

  5. This is an impressive display of modelling skills. I really like the used but not abused look of the plane, a very nice grey patine. Great work

  6. That is fantastic detailing, Kipdarks.
Welcome, hope to see more of your skills.

  7. Nice work on a good old kit.

  8. Looks great! Love the VooDoo - nice paint work on this.

  9. Great looking F-101! Nice cockpit detail. Welcome to the site.

  10. Wow did that ever turn out nice. Love your panel lines.

  11. Really nice looking build, especially the cockpit and seats. Weathering is subtle and effective. My first operations officer in the Air Force had flown Voodoos.

  12. 🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Welcome to the forum. Very nice first post.
What can I say ? ... it's a Monogram, in my eyes STILL the best 1/48 scale rendition of this bird, a plane I have always loved.
    A very nice build overall.

  13. Well done! looking great.

(I build this one in the Revell boxing many years ago when I lived in Greenland. It stayed when I left - may have to get one again some day)
