Vought F4U-1D Corsair – US Navy VF-84 – USS Bunker Hill - Febr.1945

I am glad to introduce my latest model, a very classic Corsair from VF-84, but I wanted it on my shelf.
It is the well-known Tamiya kit which is, despite of its age, a more than excellent kit.
My first try with chipping fluid. So far, so good, I learnt how to use it (did I say I had to repaint three times the yellow ring because paint on chipping fluid hate to receive any masking tape?...)
Acrylic paints (Mr Hobby Aqueous, Mr Color and Tamiya). Everything is from the box except decals which come from a Techmod sheet (Art. no. 48068).

Thanks John. As replied to Tom, I forgot to mention I used an old seatbelt kit from Reheat Model (with much better PE quality than Eduard, my guess)

This is a great build! For sure, Tamiya kit is good, but you made an exceptional job out of it!

I changed completely my technics for building cockpits. I spent now 50% time less than before for a much better result.
