Multi Colored Canadian F-86 Sabre Jet
Seven (7) has always been my "lucky" number and these 7 images show off my Mk-5 Sabre Jet. I have no idea what the "Mk-5" means and I don't think I did any research. I don't have a photo of the box art, nor do I recall why I chose to build a Canadian Jet.
Like so many of my other model's, I don't remember if I had any problem's with this kit as I built it in 2009. However please note how tight the windscreen fit's to the top of the fuselage. During the building I "dry-fit" many parts together and sand accordingly so that my "fit" is just like on the real airplane. You can't have any seams, gaps and mis-align parts.
A Mig-29A Fulcrum is due soon.

Mk5s were "F-86"s made by Canadair (as CL-13s) with larger wings for improved maneuverability while replacing the original General Electric J47 engine with the locally-designed more-powerful Avro Canada Orenda (thnks wiki!)

Nice job, The MK5 means Mark 5. Canadair build the Sabre in several different version or marks from the Mk 1 to Mk 6. The Mark 6 or Sabre 6 was probably one of the best versions of all Sabres built.
