Sweet Home Alabama

October 3, 2020 · in Ships · · 10 · 2K

I wanted to represent Alabama in a landscape similar to the one that exists in Ko Tapu (Thailand). The kit is from in with various generic photo-etched parts and Aber main guns as well as various upgrades to secondary and anti-aircraft weaponry. Other elements are the reconstructed metal masts. The chosen scheme was the one after August 1943.

  1. Very nice Manuel, lovely detail work and base

  2. Nice work on my favorite ship!

  3. Very cool looking.

Hope the wind will not turn, though...

    • Yes. This is a small detail that I want to add. There are other similar representations where only with an anchor. The place I think is a calm zone of winds, but I am going to correct it as I did with the Uss Missouri.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

  5. Very nice build and equally great diorama, Manuel!

  6. Very nice work on a beautiful ship. Stellan's right though. A ship that big close to things like that...
