kit, rigging done with EZ-line. Loved every minute of this build. My tribute to Women aviators in combat. Much respect.

  1. Very nice Po-2, Paul!
I like it a lot, as well as the last two pics.
    Well done!

  2. Turned out very nice...
Are the wing struts much trouble to install & get the wings positioned correctly ?

  3. Great PO, nice detailing, instrument panels really stand out. What do those slogans translate to?

  4. That’s a very nice Polikarpov! That’s a model that deserves more builds around here

  5. Great looking build that is all the better for the history it evokes.

  6. Very nice build, Paul.
The rigging turned out very nicely.
Those control wires to the tail are great as well.
The two last two images are a very nice addition.

  9. Very nice! If I can find one in 1/72 I need to build it! Great job on this build.

  10. I like this a lot. I've done the kit myself, and you have definitely gotten more than the most out of it. Also that you did it for the Night Witches. "Liked"

  11. Great work Paul. I recommend to anyone interested in the "Night Witches" this neat little 4 minute animated documentary from a terrific online magazine called Aeon:

    • That's awesome. Thank you for the link. ? I just watched it. Fabulous. I'd love to see more. Thank you.

      • Animated aviation docs are a small but interesting genre. Another one I really like is about the injured B-17 being escorted to the coast by a gallant Me-109 pilot:

The creators did a reboot, which is much more CGI, but the simple animation of the original is maybe more charming. Enjoy.
