MACCHI C 202 FOLGORE ,Tauro model 1/48

December 1, 2020 · in Aviation · · 19 · 3.1K

Macchi C 202 Tauro Model scale.
Model with problematic Assembly and in need of comsiderable attention,as well as the correction of many details and the plastering and re-engraving of all the panels line.
However,it offers a good basis for creating a model complete with mechanics and armament

  1. That’s one hell of a diorama, I like those last pics with the blue sky horizon...almost the real thing! Well done!

  2. You might have had some issues, Valter, but you turned it into a fantastic build. @zagorten27
A great looking diorama together with an extremely detailed build.
Your photographs are also state of art.

  3. An excellent diorama, but the paint and finish work on the aircraft is beautiful in itself! Well done.

  4. Great job on this. I did one of these when the kit first came out and is was a crude tough build but it did lend itself into doing it opened up as you've aptly shown.

  5. Very nice work, I love the model and the diorama. Excellent overall work.

  6. Totally speechless. A little wonder. Bravo!

  7. Echoing all above gents comments, Valter, I congratulate you for your wonderful work!

  8. Well, if you were going to pick a kit to do this with, the Tauro kit, which only fits with everything opened up since nothing fits (I did one long ago), is the perfect choice.

Beautiful work on all that small detail. The result is a superb diorama that completely "tells a story."

  9. The reality of all aircraft is maintenance... for every hour flown an aircraft needs X,Y and Z hours to remain airworthy. Engines that are flown to their limits have lives that can be measured in hours. 100 hours in combat conditions maybe a lot. Engine changes become a common thing...
therefore, a dio is not only educational but a splendid way of showing off a build.

Valter, I really like the photos taken out doors with the natural light. Some of the photos they come close to suspending reality and draw you into looking at the model and the dio.

    Two thumbs up.

Looking forward to seeing more of your gifts and talents in modeling.

  10. Wow. That''s quite something.

  11. Thanks to everyone for the comments.
It really wans't a walk the assembly of this kit ,he built it back in 1996 and it underwent a restoration in 2013

  12. That is absolutely beautiful...

  13. Awesome! All the trouble solving worth, it's awesome!

  14. Very well done. The camo finish is spot on.

  15. Excellent job and you deserve a lot of credit for having the courage to build it. I bought one of them when it first was released and attempted to build it, but the fit and molding were so bad that I gave up and trashed it. The plastic in the kit had a very pebbly texture and the best thing about the kit was the extensive decal sheet.

  16. Absolute killer looking maintenance diorama despite the crude kit. Glad you hung in there. You made it totally unique.

  17. Gorgeous... 'nuff said! 😉

  18. wow Valter vaudagna (@zagorten27) what a beautiful piece of art you created here. From what everyone is saying from a very tough kit as well. Well done, a few of the pics I had to look closely as I thought they were actual reference photographs that you based your build off.

    Incredible stuff.

  19. Amazing result on this kit. Did you rescribe the panel lines ? They look far finer than they do in the box.
