Mitsubishi A6M2 zero zeke

December 6, 2020 · in Aviation · · 17 · 2.1K

Hi everybody!

This is my built as part of the empire of japan group build. So many good models on that group. This is Tamiyas Quite old zero. With raised panel lines and a few recessed ones, so I decided to get the scribing tool out and the riveting tool. With all the raised details rescribed and the riveting done it started to look a little bit more pleasing to the eye. The rivets are not Not very accurate but just add a little bit of Depth. Cockpit And flaps are Eduards. Good fun this build and I'd thought I'd share it. Cheers.

  1. I can’t help comment that your Zero is absolutely stunning Glenn.
No doubt of the best I’ve seen made from this old kit. Are the markings decals or painted? Thumbs up ?

  2. Hi Pedro!
Thanks a lot, very much appreciated. They are decals. I did try and use paint but the stencils went a little bit out of shape. Next time maybe.

  3. Glenn, this is a wonderful build I had the pleasure to follow along.
The model is excellent in every aspect!
Regarding the accuracy of the rivets, the main key is to provide a believable representation of the plane and you excelled at it.
    Congratulations!
