After looking at my for five months, I decided that it needed a little roughing-up. So I broke-out the thinner, some swabs, and a bottle of Model Master chrome silver paint and went to town. Along the way, I managed to break the radio wires, which took me the better part of an hour to repair because I used stretched sprue. In any case, I present BQ-I none the worse for wear.

  1. Very nice, Greg.
Indeed some severe erosion which you applied very well.

  2. Top marks Greg. For both courage & results. Your photos do it justice & I can almost hear the paint flaking off! Presumably this is the Tamiya kit in 1/48?

    • Thank you! It helps to have a large bottle of thinner available. Yes, this is the 1/48 Tamiya kit, which, in typical Tamiya fashion, came together very well.

  3. 🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Very nice results Greg, very convincing.

  4. It's always nice to try new techniques and to expand your modeling "envelope", Greg!
    I like the final result!

  5. Looks like your courage in trying this weathering technique paid off, definitely liked.
