My 2020 Builds -All Winged Things

January 2, 2021 · in Uncategorized · · 9 · 1.5K

Despite it all it was a productive year although I've neglected sharing here for a while. And I built all things that fly even though I hadn't planned it that way. Here they are:

Dream Model's 1/72 AH-1Z

Hasegawa 1/48 P-40E Aleutian Tiger-lots of aftermarket, kit decals, probably wasted a lot time on Eduard lowered flaps that aren't really visible.

Hasegawa 1/72 JSDF F-2 with DXM decals

Tamiya 1/72 F-16C turned into a F-16AMLU of the Norwegian AF with Vigtor decals

Academy 1/72 F/A-18C Finnish AF with F4dable decals

Hasegawa 1/72 F-4S Heater Ferris Scheme

A pair of Airfix Harriers-GR.1 from RAF Belize with Xtradecals & Sea Harrier FA.2, these are waiting 3 more RAF/RN Harriers for a display.

GreatWall 1/72 F-15C MSIP with Print Scale decals

Two Airfix 1/48 Sea Fury FB.11s for the RCAF with Fundecals decals-doing a little display that needs finishing.

Italeri 1/72 Night Fox converted into a more proper AH-6 Little Bird

Hasegawa's Ancient 1/72 OV-1C converted into a OV-1D with IsraDecals

And finally Hasegawa's 1/72 UH-60 converted into an Alaska National Guard UH-60L fighting fires with a Tomix Bambi Bucket, Armycast Skis, Reedoak Crew, and custom decals by me.

Cheers!

  1. Nice interesting collection Jason.

  2. A very nice collection, Jason.
The way you present your builds is great.

  3. I like that diorama of the firefighting chopper a lot. Really good work there. Also the F-4S in the Ferris Scheme. Saw one of those face to face at NAS Miramar 40 years ago and thought it was the most interesting F-4 scheme I ever saw.

  4. Looks like you had a good year, Jason, here's to 2021.

  5. Great builds, Jason!

  8. Particularly like the RCN Sea Fury pair, nicely mounted with the Canadian roundel. Love to see more pics of them

  9. a beautiful line-up! I was debating doing a Heater Ferris schemed F-4, but now that I've seen yours, I am going to do it for sure! I love the colors on that - what did you use?
