On March 27th 1942, Unteroffizier Felix Sauer, serving with 10.()/, had to make an emergency landing on the beach of Sicily due to an engine failure. The pane wasn´t damaged much during the landing but most probably because of the saltwater damage it was declared a 90% loss.

  1. Compliments to your dad, Reinhard.
He created a beautiful looking 109.
    That paintwork is fantastic.

  2. I agree with John, a fantastic 109 indeed!

  3. 🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Your dad has just made a rare look at the Bf-109, it is not a regular or normal sight to see a
four bomb rack on this plane, that alone is a big plus.
Add to it the beautiful paint work and finish and for sure it is a stellar job.
Well done, thank you for sharing these pictures Reinhard.

  4. Another beauty - I've bookmarked this link to help me with the Heller 109F I'm building now!
