1/12 Tamiya Ducati 1199 Panigale S Tricolore
This one doesn't need weathering. This is my first motorcycle model.
I have added the Tamiya's front fork upgrade. The wheel cover is covered by carbon fiber decal.
I really like the effect of satin vanish with the carbon fiber decal.
The kit fits together very well. There isn't any difficulty in the build.

Looks spectacular, Thomas!
I had the impression I was looking at the real bike.
Congratulations!

Thanks, Spiros. I think I will do another Ducati down the road. They are really nice-looking bikes.

I used to go to the AMA races at Road America back in the early '90s. You always knew where the Ducatis were, because nothing else sounded like them.

Thanks, Steven. You have to give it to the Italians. Their design is superb.
I love the sound of Ducatis. I don't ride motorbikes, but a good friend of mine did. He has a couple of Ducatis. I always enjoy just looking at them as an art piece.

🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Good modeling Thomas, the paint work is very well done and has a well defined shine to it.

Thanks, DE4EVER. The Tamiya polishing compounds and wax did their magic.

Nice! Bike builds are so cool, and this was a great one.
Thomas Woo said on February 23, 2021
Thanks, Matt. Tamiya really makes the builder's life much easier. I just need to focus on the painting part.

These Tamiya 1/12 motorcycle kits are great and you've done a nice job with this one, definitely worth buying the extra detail up parts as well. Liked.

Thanks, George. I really enjoy this build. I have another Tamiya 1/12 Ducati in my stash. I hope to do a bit more detailing with this one.

Hi Thomas, great work, great paint! I have this one in my stash as well as two of the older Tamiya 916 Ducatis. I am fortunate to own a full size Ducati 748 (yellow) which is indistinguishably identical to the 916. I have the two kits and have had custom decals made to build into two 748's for a diorama... one super detailed (hopefully) without the fairing on, and the other ready to ride. Love the subject.

Thanks, Rory. Ducatis are fantastic and yellow is a great colour for them. I have a Ducati Desmosedici in my stash, and I haven't gotten around to building it yet. I like your idea of two 748s in a diorama. Unfortunately, I haven't learnt how to ride a motorbike. I race cars on the track instead.
I need to build models soon; I have been working on other projects lately.
