MkIV "Tadpole" Emhar 1/35, WWI

March 1, 2021 · in Armor · · 9 · 2.8K

Original kit from 1995, maybe the only Tadpole available right now (the Takon version is out of stock everywhere), this is not a Tamiya or Trumpeter model so the fiting is not the best, It needed a fair amount of work to produce a good final product; the worst part were the tracks, thick rubber, hard to bend and superglue required.
The most enjoyable part was the paint and weathering, in this case i decided a "what if" version, similar to its cousins MkIV male or female.

  1. Very nice, love the weathering

  2. Wonderful result. Perfect finish all the way around. Liked!

  3. Jorge, This is wonderful, I really enjoy checking out well done armor (even though I'm an airplane guy), especially WW1 stuff.
You have done some really nice work here, achieving a very realistic looking model !

  4. I really love those WWI tanks and yours is remarkable! Love the look and weathering. You really made it look great. Would look great crossing over a trench!

  5. An amazing build, Jorge!

  6. You've done a good job of hiding any assembly difficulties under a superb paint finish.

  7. I love these Emhar kits, they were the only game in town 1:35 for a very long time. I have built the Whippet and used MkIV as.a base for MkV* in combo with Panzerworks conversion.

You have doen a real neat job with this one. Tadpole looks well.
    Thanks.
I am going to have to dig out my last MkIV out and get cracking.
    regards
    Brian

  8. Looks great! I did a couple of Emhar's aircraft kits, they too had fit problems, but they produced some not often produced subjects.
