Bf 109E-4 (SpecialHobby 1/72)

April 13, 2021 · in Aviation · · 31 · 2.8K

-4, new kit by in scale.

Kit goes really well, the fit is good, but check the canopy/fuselage parts before gluing. Detail level is impressive. The only aftermarket I've used was metal barrels (Master) and exhausts (Rexx). But if you want to make canopy opened - kit parts are too thick unfortunately, so some vacu canopy should be used.

Model was painted with Gunze acrylics, and mostly all of the weathering was done using AMMO oilbrushers. For the washes as well.

I can recommend this kit to anybody interested in 1/72 scale.

Thanks for watching!

  6. It is a great looking 1:72 build! I have seen a lot of good reviews of this little kit, and the early 109 look awesome. Your build definitely inspires me to build one.

  7. Nice work, Dmitry. 109s are tiny in 1/72 and difficult to model well. You succeeded with yours.
