Hawker Hurricane Mk11c ,Revell 1/72. Egypt 1944

" I say old fruit, I seem to have run out of juice , I don't suppose you could jump on the old Camel chappie and pop back to Alex and let them know"

My great friend and colleague Rob Booth has dipped his toes into our hobby for the first time in many years with this nice little kit which he made a great job of building but felt a little daunted with the painting so we made a joint effort of it and I did the paint.

I have to say is not my preferred scale far too small for my tired eyes and clumsy fingers ,give me every time.

The kit is basic but as you can see builds up well into a nice little and Rob did a good job all round. For some of the shots I reused my K2 Ambulance dio for a bit of fun.

Cheers Rob/Neil

  1. A very nice desert Hurricane, Neil.
Looks much bigger than a 1/72 kit.

  6. Hello Neil, @neil-foster
This looks great ! I don't build 1/72 scale any more, because of my worsening up close vision, and my fat sausage fingers... 🙂 So I sold off / gave away all of my 1/72 stuff. I commend you on this build. It looks very good.

I definitely pressed the liked button. It's good to see you posting in the headlines section again. Take care buddy.

  7. Good one Neil! Nice model too!

  9. Well done Neil, adding the camel is a nice fun touch.

  10. Nice looking joint project! A desert scheme is always welcome!
