My dad´s latest completion.
The not that bad kit which is basically the same as the AMG ones, same engineering and parts break down but a bit more detailed. Kit comes with some PE parts, masks for canopy and sharkmouth, although the masks aren´t really usable. My dad painted the red part of the mouth, the teeth are kit decals. Camo done with Gunze Aqueous RLM 70/71/65, brake lines added with plastic rods and lead wire, antenna wires with EZ Line.

Model shows a prewar bird of JGr. 176.

  1. Wow, so super cool! Love the contrasting colours in camouflage and markings.

  2. Very nice. I really like the early Jumo 109s.

  3. Great performed build, Reinhard.
Your dad is doing fantastic work.
    Teeth look perfect like this.

  4. Great job on this. I've got one in the to do pile. Will do Swiss or Hungarian markings.

  5. Lovely! I just received a D-1 in the mail, and a set of decals that includes a similar option...not sure what livery I'll end up putting it in, but this is yet another great reference!

  6. Fabulous shark mouth, I initially thought it was all painted, it’s that good Richard.

  7. Very nice!

Actually, the Modelsvit and AMG and Dora Wings early 109s are all the same basic kit because once upon a time they were all Modelsvit.

  8. Your Dad's #10 IS...a 10!
Great looking D-1, especially with the shark teeth. Kinda weird seeing a BF109 with a twin prop.
    Great looking photos too.

  9. Wow, a shark mouth Bf-109, finished per the usual Spreitzhofer excellency: how better can it get?
    Congratulations!

  10. Wonderful work! Your Dad does great models!
